The Grownups have Gone

This is the story of ten year old Toby and eight year old Jonah. They are active and full of fun and they are always together. They live in a nice loving house with their doting parents. One time mum and dad had a lunch date and they were waiting for the grandparents to arrive to be with the two boys, unfortunately gran and grandad had got caught up in a traffic jam, so mum and dad had to make a decision. Should they leave the house five minutes earlier or should they wait for the grandparents and be late for their appointment? After some thought it was decided that five minutes wasn’t that long to wait, so mum and dad left the boys in the house waiting for their grandparents to arrive. What could possibly happen in five minutes? Well, they see something scary, they watch something fall, they get covered in paint and almost drown. This story is a reminder that our lives revolve around our family and we should never take anything for granted.
