Pilar García Díaz
Madrid, 1972
She was born in Madrid during Christmas 1972. She holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering and has completed a Master’s Degree in University Teaching as well as a Master’s Degree in Secondary and High School Education. She currently works as a lecturer at the University of Alcalá, teaching in engineering programs, and as a researcher in machine learning projects. Despite her busy schedule, she finds time to get involved in educational innovation projects, such as STEM outreach workshops in primary and secondary schools, in which she has participated since 2016 (https://siSTEMaabierto.web.uah.es/). She writes this story for all children: for those interested in science and mathematics, and for those who prefer to let their imagination soar, dancing to the rhythm of the wind and not wishing to see science or mathematics behind everything around them.
