Adrián Cuesta

Adrián Cuesta Martín was born in Madrid in 1993. He grew up in Collado Villalba, in the Sierra de Madrid, where he discovered his passion for art and children's literature, eventually becoming a freelance illustrator and designer.In 2018, he relocated to Edinburgh, Scotland, where he currently resides.

After completing his Arts Baccalaureate at the Instituto Jaime Ferrán in Collado Villalba, he went on to study at the ESDIP School in Madrid, specialising in artistic and digital graphic creation for three years.He later had the opportunity to study under the internationally renowned digital artist Ayran Oberto in Madrid.

He then graduated from Kingston University London with an HND in Graphic Design and a BA (Hons) in Visual Communication.Adrián now combines his academic background with his work as a freelance illustrator and designer, collaborating on a variety of projects while also working as a support teacher in different schools across Edinburgh.

From an early age, Adrián was fortunate to be guided by his mother, a nursery teacher, which helped him develop a strong vocation for education and a passion for storytelling as a way to share values with children and young people.

Thanks to his godmother, who nurtured his imagination from a young age, he also discovered the captivating world of literature through comics and books.This love of reading and narrative has remained with him ever since, continuing to inspire and enrich his creative work today.
